The Braidless Sew In offers a comfortable, flat install with no braids and no added weight. It’s gentle, secure, and perfect for clients who want fullness without the tightness or bulk of traditional sew ins.

What is a Braidless Sew In?

Also called microlink beaded rows, the braidless sew in is a weft installation method that uses no braids as the foundation. It’s ideal if you want added volume and length without tension or bulk. Each row is created with lightweight, silicone-lined microbeads, then secured with needle and thread to attach the wefts. Because machine wefts are denser, you achieve a full, voluminous look with fewer rows. This method leaves more of your natural hair out while still giving you a smooth, full finish—perfect for clients with medium to thick hair.

About Braidless Sew In Weaves

Risks

If done properly, braidless sew ins will not damage your hair. What damages your hair poor maintenance, styling tools, and excessive pulling of your own hair. Excessive scratching can cause sores, bumps and scabs. The weight of the hair extensions can cause stress where the tracks begin. This is especially true for finer hair. If this occurs, you will have to get your extensions redone more often to prevent any damage.

Side Effects

Because of the beads used at the base as well as the sewing, the first day or so of a braidless sew in can result in tightness and a temporary headache. A simple pain reliever before installation and before bed  can alleviate some of the tension.

Maintenance

Maintenance on your braidless sew in is required every 4-8 weeks. If you have 1 fingers width of regrowth, then tightening is needed.
