Flip Over Sew In in Tampa at HEI

Also known as a No Part Sew In, a Flip Over Sew In Weave encloses the hair without a part.  Most of the hair is braided down, leaving out 1-2 inches of the front hairline. This bit of natural hair left covers the tracks and allows you to wear your hair in a top knot or flip it from side to side without a part.  After we install your hair, we blend it into your natural hair, layer it and style it 1 of 2 ways. We either leave it in it’s natural state or we style it wavy or curly.

Benefits of A Flip Over Sew In

  • This method is for extreme wavy and curly textures only
  • Looks gorgeous with naturally curly hair
  • Can be worn on either side
  • Keeps hair protected and encourages hair growth
  • Hair is reusable

Who are flip over sew ins for?

Best for deep wavy or curly hairstyles.  Ideal for those who want a highly textured look with flexible part options.  This is a very flexible protective style because not much hair is left out.

What type of hair is needed?

The best type of hair you can purchase is pure virgin remy hair so for that, we suggest our Cambodian raw hair in deep wavy, raw curly, burmese curly, ndeep curly or kinky curly. With either of these lines, they can easily last a year or more if you care for them properly. If you like hair color, we can lighten them to any shade or color them to any tone. Flip Over Sew In FYI

Risks

A flip over sew in has a smaller risk of damage over all partial sew in types because it doesn’t require much leave out. With a small amount of edge control, you can manipulate your front hair line to match deep wave or curly textures (depending on your hair type). Flip over sew ins will not damage your hair if installed properly. What damages your hair is poor maintenance, styling tools, and excessive pulling of your own hair. Excessive scratching can cause sores, bumps and scabs. The weight of the hair extensions can cause stress where the tracks begin. This is especially true for finer hair. If this occurs, you will have to get your extensions redone more often to prevent any damage.

Side Effects

Because of the braids in the foundation as well as the sewing, the first day or so of a sew in can result in tightness and temporary headaches. A simple pain reliever before installation and before bed  can alleviate some of the tension.

Maintenance

Maintenance on your sew in is required every two weeks with tightening done at 4 weeks. If you have 1 fingers width of regrowth, then tightening is needed. Keep in mind that tightening is just resewing your tracks in a different way to add more tension. It will never be as tight as the original sew in. The only way to get it as tight as the original sew in is to remove and reinstall it.

Removal

When it time to remove your flip over sew in, our removal process ensures that your natural hair is protected. We gently remove your extensions, unbraid your hair, and detangle your hair.
